Opening Pandora’s Box?
I’ve always wondered whether the news that the reporters ran in the tabloids are actual fact or fiction, or rather fact littered with fiction or even fact totally rewritten into fiction. Personally i like to write myself, as shown in this blog, i’d like nothing more than random rambles on unorthodox topics. The newspapers reports of robberies, accidents, murders, rape, abuse, drug bust… to me it feels so umm.. fictious, i guess its just a defence mechanism of mine when it comes to certain things that i dont really understand or trust. I love reading the papers, and i truly enjoy reading articles that are meticulously written to allow the readers to feel the same feelings he or she had while writting the article itself. In the papers, foreign writers deduce their well thought out ideas and how they look upon a certain topic or how they felt about a certain political figure, you know the one that has speech impediment. Though not exactly brash and rude, they exude their opinions in a well mannered and gentleman or lady-like manner, staright foward, yet socially acceptable. =)
Socially Acceptable: How the fuck do you define that? Seriously! Is a person with extensive tattoos on his body and multiple piercings on his face and odd areas of his body deem socially acceptable? Or how about a well groomed gentleman, well dressed in suit and tie, shiny shoes, yet holding a bottle of Smirnoff Red vodka while working around town? I hate the fact that everyone on this planet has to go through this sort of labelleing at a point is his or her’s life, whether you’re socially acceptable. Through your physical looks others try to weight and judge who you are and how the fuck you feel and what you do. Dont you just hate that? So a guy walking around with booze is deemed a drunkard? A scum of society? Or just a guy who dont give a fuck and enjoys a cold one on a hot day? A good looking guy, well dressed in fresh, crisp, well ironed clothes. What is he? a perfect gentleman? He might be a serial killer underneath all that grooming. Wolf in sheep’s clothing. Why must how we look judge who we are? 2005 is coming, and i hope this monotype of labelling a human being is soon to be forgotten. Its working well in western societies, physical outlook does not measure up to what you can and will do with of course the right incentives. I live in an asian society, where life is more conservative: you cant walk outside without your clothes off, you cant walk around town with a can of beer in your hand, you cant have too many piercings, tattoos are no-no’s or you might be labeled as a gangster. The list goes on. sigh~
Life is precious rite? You only have one chance in living so do your best and enjoy the best that you can. Everyone tells me that, and the same people that told me to do what i want when i want (to a certain degree that is) tells me NOT to do the things that they asked me to do! Hipocrites? You be the judge. =)
