Bummer

I’m feeling very down and disappointed knowing that i failed C++ programming, which is suppose to be one of my strongest suit. I’ve lost the battle against UoW, however I’m not backing down. I’ll re-take the subject next semester and I promised myself that I’ll score very well.

Found this delightful video while surfing around. Its a 4 kids dressed up in Mario guise playing the theme songs of the game on the marimba. Check it out here

I bought myself Fight Club DVD, i nearly forgot what an utterly brilliant film it was until i watched it again. A movie that posts serious questions in a weird, odd, entertaining, disturbing, all-roud delightful way! I love movies that questions the current state of humanity, materialism, capitalism, all the questions that make up our current state of reality. American Beauty is another excellent movie of nearly the same tinge as Fight Club. Anyone who hasn’t watched both of this film should go and get the DVD’s. Both are excellent films and are a must watch!

hey alex! i totally agree! fight club is such an amazing film! it’s one of those movies that makes you think about life and how we are being controlled and unconsciously most of the time. about the comment you left on my blog regarding singaporeans? i agree with you. we asians have to learn to be polite! and we just have to take things easy. i feel that we are being controlled alot and we are so stifled. the sad thing is that some of us don’t even realise it because thats just the way things are. i love the carefree attitudes of the aussies. for them you don’t need to be a degree holder to earn respect. over here, no proper education, don’t even look at me. how sick is that. unfortunately, that’s just the fact about how things are in singapore. people here can be so rude. sometimes when they serve me, they don’t even smile and even if they do, i feel like it’s fake. i mean of course there are a few genuinely friendly people. but only a handful! then when an ang moh comes along, they change their attitudes and serve them like kings and queens! what a bunch of posers! and they boast our service industry? bullshit! singaporeans should respect they fellowmen before anything else. it’s sad with what some of us have to put up with. i feel as though we are all slowly losing our values and morals. i wonder where we are heading…

    Alex says,

Our cultural and educational structure has made us into marrauding zombies really. How pieces of paper, clothes, property dictates our life. If this continues.. we’d be nothing more than robots… being singular and the heavens created us humans for our individualism. Isnt that what makes us human? Someone somewhere should shine a light. Or else.. we’d be nothing more than the clothes that we wear… sickening really…
