Horrors!

Mens double status: First round knockout lost!

I guess we were nervous. Or maybe over confidence? I’m not sure. But let it be lesson then. The Badminton Club guys mentioned that there’s an inter-college tournament coming soon. Though frankly my skills aren’t even up to the veteran’s status but I’m very willing to learn and buck up. This competitiveness is really spicing up my life. Let see how it goes. Badminton wise there’s the mixed doubles to look forward to this friday. I’m going to give it my all on friday.
The last weekend was spent in Matang and Gunung Gading (Gading Mountain). Matang was fun though the trip was short. Its roughly thirty minutes drive from town. In the mother of all spontaneous trips, after lunch we just decided to go to Matang to wade in the mountain streams. The water was re-freshing and cold although not the cleanest. It was good fun. Had a great time with some very fun guys and girls.

Gunung Gading however was immaculately planned to the ‘T’. So the nine of us in our two cars started out journey after breakfast. However with some short-comings we arrived there a bit late to my liking, roughly 11am. Note: We left at 8am. Then some how we manage to go on the wrong trail and end up at the reception counter. After figuring out the right way, I’ve decided to be the pack leader and lead them on. I don’t want to waste time on the trails, the waterfall (Did I mention there was a waterfall? There was a waterfall.) is beckoning our hot sweaty bodies. Words can’t describe how beautiful the place was. Naturally the jungle was ridiculously humid and was slowly wearing down a couple of us. I was secretly enjoying the hike since it was a gritty, no-nonsense hiking trail. Not for the faint of heart. Steep inclines and declines. I loved every minute of the bug infested, humid, muddy hiking session though my face didn’t show it. The guys were saying I looked so serious while trail hiking. Upon reaching the waterfall you can see the sense of relief that the hellish one hour hike was over. Myself included. I had to admit I wasn’t the trail eating monster that I used to be. The waterfall was seriously a sight to behold. Crystal clean, freezing cold water. The minute I jumped in I took a big gulp of the natural mountain water. Sweet was the keyword. Yes it wouldn’t please the health fanatics but frankly I didn’t care. I was in my element, the evergreen jungles. We had plenty of wholesome fun with some additives that would be more suitable in a porno movie. Pictures and a ’spicy’ video will be up on the next post.

For the mean time enjoy two motoring videos that I found while surfing online. One was my particular favourite which is a foreign Toyota advertisement which can be found HERE. The other is a video showing BMW’s intense testing procedures of all their models. Makes you appreciate the amount of work that BMW has done on their cars before it goes to your hands if you’re one of the few lucky ones that owns a BMW. Jump to video HERE.
